Last year(2021) was the 1st time, we spotted these birds near calm urban areas of Mysore hanging out near the big trees during the winter season..These are migratory birds to this place during the winter season, and they arrive in larger numbers and make so much noise and attract the attention.

It's a noisy bird and catches your attention. * It's a bird of grasslands and open agricultural land. * Adult rosy staring will have a distinctive pink body, pale orange leg, and glossy black head, wings, and tails. * Male birds will have long head feathers which form wispy crests during the breeding season. Whereas Females have a short crest and sharp separation between pink and black
